for all meet information and registration forms as provided by Meet
Directors Dave Smith and Lindy Remigino. A special page has been posted at
the meet website that indicates the schools where athlete event entry
forms have already been received.

State Athletes
Compete at Brown Invite Friday-Saturday...
(Dec 29, 2006) While students are on holiday break from school, many of
the state indoor teams are keeping their athletes busy and have elected to
participate in the Brown Invitational today and Saturday at Brown
University in Providence RI. The Brown Invite offers a full slate of
events for both junior varsity as well as varsity elite athletes in the
Championship events. Full details of the meet are available at the

State Record for Sullivan in Pole Vault Leads
Performances at 2006 Jack Long ECC Coaches Invite...
(Dec 23, 2006) The Jack Long ECC Coaches' Invite on Friday,
December 22, 2006 at the New Haven Track and Field Center was highlighted
by a Connecticut State Indoor Record in the Girl's Pole Vault by
Jessica Sullivan of Norwich Free Academy. Sullivan won the close
competition over runner-up Jordan Ritchie of Windham, Lauren Bennett of
East Lyme and Jessica Daigneault of Fitch as she cleared 10 feet 6.25
inches to set the new state indoor standard. The former record of 10"6"
was set by Daniela Ponte of Torrington in 2004 State Open. Other top
performers at the early season meet included Julia Saccone of Ledyard in
the High Jump and 55m Hurdles, Amanda Sumner of Bristol Eastern in the
1000m run, and Sam Willis of Tolland in the 300m dash. In the Boys
events, top performers included Terell Wilks of Hillhouse in the 55m
Dash, Kyle Lane of East Lyme in the 55m Hurdles, Andrew Esposito of East
Lyme in the 600m run and a close duel in the Sprint Medley relay as the
Fitch quartet edged Wilby for the win.

Fieldhouse, Wesleyan University in Middletown CT. The Intent to Enter form

Sponsors CT Indoor Best Performance Lists...
(Dec 20, 2006) Starting again
this week for a second year, any Connecticut high school indoor track and
field athlete is invited to easily submit their best performances from
meets (non-developmental) held in the 2006-2007 Indoor season for weekly
posting on a CT Indoor T&F Best Performance List sponsored by
FleetFeet Sports of West Hartford CT. In order for your performance to
be considered for posting you must be better or equal to the minimum
standards (2007 CIAC Class-S Meet Entry Standards or other marks for
non-standard events) as posted on the 2006-2007 Weekly Indoor Best
Performance List Entry Form (see links to the left side for both the
form to submit a performance and the page where all Best Performances are
listed.) The FleetFeet Sports Best Performance List will be
updated on a weekly basis or more frequent if your entries are numerous.
Thanks for helping to make this work by submitting performances that meet
the standards.
Intent to Enter Ongoing for the 64th HPHS Invite Meet...
(Dec 17, 2006) Meet
Directors Lindy Remigino and Dave Smith are still accepting Intent to
Enter forms online for the
64th Hartford Public Indoor Invitational, one of the oldest indoor meets
in the state. With a revised Event list that now includes the 600m (replaces 400m)
and 1000m (replaces 800m) races, the meet provides one of the few local
opportunities to qualify for the State Class meets in February at a
quality invitational. The 2007 Event Standards have also been adjusted
and are based upon the 2006-07 Class LL standards in order to provide
for a high quality meet as well as a competitive meet where there is
event scoring and medals in six places to determine which teams win the
silver Revere Bowls for first and second places. Individual awards are
also given to Best in Track, Best in Field and Most Valuable Performer
for boys and girls.
The 64th Hartford Public Indoor
Invitational is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at Wesleyan
University in Middletown CT. A reminder that the recently added Triple
Jump event is scheduled for an early 8:30am start while other field
events start at 9:30am and track events at 10:00am. Please see the

with the Boys and Girls Performance Lists. The performance lists of all
athletes for each event is available. Please contact Meet Director Gary

Highlight 64th HPHS Invite Meet...
(Nov 26, 2006) As the
Hartford Public Indoor Invitational enters its 64th year as one of the
oldest indoor meets in the state, Meet Directors Lindy Remigino and Dave
Smith have revised the Event list to include the 600m (replaces 400m)

by Doing Clinic...
(Nov 19, 2006) Coach Gary
Moore is hosting the Learn by Doing Clinic and Lectures featuring
several college coaches for all interested junior high and high school
athletes and coaches. The one day program is scheduled for Friday,
December 1, 2006 at the New Haven City-wide Fieldhouse at Hillhouse High
School in New Haven. There are two sessions available, 4-6pm and 6-8pm.
