 A shoe-less Gavin Coombs trails the pack after a 67 second first lap |
 Victor Gras of Belmont leads thru the half-mile at 2:15 |
 Gras leads through lap 3 at 3:23 with Coombs still running shoe-less. |
 Gras still leading at mile in 4:32 but Chris Barnicle of Newton North moves to second place. |
 No change a lap later as Gras and Barnicle duel through lap 5 in 5:38. |
 Barnicle takes lead after 6 laps at 6:45 with Landry Christo of Thomas Jefferson and Gras in second. |
 Gras surges back to the lead in 7:48 with one lap to go! |
 Barnicle used a kick with 250meters to go and opened a 5 meter gap that he held to the finish - 8:50.82, meet record as well as a New England record that surpassed Alberto Salazar's record from the late 70's. Gras finished 2nd in 8:52.05. |
 Landry Christo finishes third in 8:54.07. |
 Ahmed Haji of Conard W. Hartford is 5th behind Chris Spooner(8:56.56) and the final runner to break 9:00 with a CT State record of 8:58.69. |
