Wickham Park has supported the running community for more than 25 years. Now it's our turn to support the Park. The Park suffered a tremendous amount of damage because of Winter Storm Alfred. Hundreds of tree limbs are down and park officials estimate that it will take them four or five months to clean up the debris. On Sunday, Dec. 4, a Wickham Park Workday will be held; starting at 9 a.m.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jeff at Wickham Park at: (860) 528-0856. They need to know how many people are expected on Sunday.

Volunteers are needed to drag tree limbs to the side of Park roads so they can be put through the wood chipper during the winter. This will save employees a countless amount of hours.
We all know what a great place the Park is for running. It has been a generous host for many events, including high school league, state and open cross country races and summer runs.
We can make a difference in getting the Park back to normal. All that is needed is a pair of work gloves and a willingness to work for two hours.
