State coaches completed their voting on Tuesday night and the results have been released today in the 2018 soundRUNNER CT High School Coaches XC Poll-3 that was led by the Xavier Boys and Glastonbury Girls teams obtaining the most votes in results available at: 2018_CT_HS_XC_Poll_Vote_Results
The Xavier Boys team continued to reign atop the rankings as the Tolland Boys moved up to second place over the Hall Boys team in third place. The Xavier Boys team received 86 votes and six 1st Place Votes followed by Tolland with 79 votes and one 1st Place Vote with Hall at 69 points and two 1st Place Votes. The remaining top ten schools included Suffield, Danbury, Staples, Conard, Bristol Central, Shelton, Glastonbury and Haddam-Killingworth.
The Glastonbury Girls regained the top slot as they received 99 votes and nine 1st Place Votes ahead of second place Danbury Girls with 84 votes (one 1st Place Vote) and last poll leader Hall with 69 votes and Trumbull with 69 votes. The remaining top ten schools included Immaculate, Greenwich, New Milford, Ridgefield, Pomperaug, New Fairfield and Tolland.
All Connecticut CIAC XC Coaches are invited to register to vote for the next top ten boys and girls cross country teams this season. Any coach interested in participating in the polling this season can register using the 2018 CT XC Coaches Poll Sign-Up form. Coaches must provide a valid email address on the form to receive further emails about the next poll. Coaches who have already registered do not need to register again for further polls.
