After an exciting weekend of racing the state coaches have weighed-in with their votes in the 2018 soundRUNNER CT High School Coaches XC Poll-2 released today that was led by the Xavier Boys and Hall Girls teams getting the most votes in results available at: 2018_CT_HS_XC_Poll_Vote_Results
The Xavier Boys team retained their top spot from the last poll over the Hall Boys team for most votes by an 78-59 margin as Xavier also received the most 1st Place Votes with 6 to Hall’s 2. The remaining top ten schools included Staples, Danbury, Tolland, Conard, Suffield, Glastonbury, Shelton and Haddam-Killingworth.
The Hall Girls team moved past the last poll leader, the Glastonbury Girls, to gain 104 votes with 5 First Place Votes compared to 98 votes and 3 First Place Votes for Glastonbury. The Immaculate Girls team moved up to third in voting with 86 votes and 3 First Place Votes. The remaining top ten schools included Danbury, Greenwich, Trumbull, Pomperaug, Ridgefield, New Milford and Guilford.
All Connecticut CIAC XC Coaches are invited to register to vote for the next top ten boys and girls cross country teams this season. Any coach interested in participating in the polling this season can register using the 2018 CT XC Coaches Poll Sign-Up form. Coaches must provide a valid email address on the form to receive further emails about the next poll. Coaches who have already registered do not need to register again for further polls.
