Featured Meet Results Posted for 7th Winding Trails XC Invitational

logoThe complete meet results are available for the 7th Winding Trails XC Invitational on the Results page sponsored by soundRUNNER Team Nights with stores in Branford, Fairfield, Glastonbury and Old Saybrook. The meet was held at Winding Trails Center in Farmington CT on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

The Small School Boys Varsity Race was highlighted by an individual victory by Eddie Nicholas of Nonnewaug in 15:36 over Kyle Englander of Suffield in 15:45. The Suffield Boys team took top honors with 23 points over runner-up Northwest Regional with 115 points.

The Small School Girls Varsity Race featured a win by Kathyryn Rodriques of Wolcott in 18:24 followed by Emily Brydges of Suffield in 19:18. The Suffield Girls team captured first with 66 points as Ellington placed second with 88 points.

The Large School Boys Varsity Race saw Azaan Dawson of Fairfield Prep edging Andrew Malling of New Canaan in a photo finish at 15:47 for both runners as Brendan Mellitt of Cheshire was third in 15:48. The New Canaan Boys won first place with 78 points to edge Middletown with 86 points.

The Large School Girls Varsity Race saw a 1-2-3 sweep by New Milford as Claire Daniels won in 18:58 over teammates Kathleen Delaney (19:00) and Brooke Morabito (19:04). The New Milford Girls team earned a first place with 42 points while Avon placed second with 72 points.
