The Glastonbury cross country course at JB Williams Park is turning 50 years old. The course is unchanged over this time and has seen the likes of Bill Rodgers, James Hall, Ahmed Haji, and Donn Cabral, among others. On August 23 we will host a free race open to anyone to celebrate this history. We expect many alumni to attend to run the course for the first time in many years, as well as members of the general community who may be interested in cross country. There will be a brief pre-race ceremony with the course originator, coach Carl Peterson, and a crowd-sourced post-race social. Below are links to the event website which documents some of the history and includes a links to an entry/attendance form. Please sign up early if you plan to attend and/or run!
