Re: Indoor Track and Field Championships
Please read carefully all information regarding the Indoor Track and
Field Championships for Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at Hillhouse High School
Indoor Track Facility at 9:00 AM.
Scratches:
- Scratches may be done without penalty before the start of the meet.
Heats Sheets and Check In
- All shots will need to be weighed upon arrival. Illegal shots will
be impounded for the duration of the meet.
- All heat sheets and field event sheets will be available upon
arrival.
- Athletes in running events are to check in with the clerk to get
hip numbers for all running events
- Field event athletes should check in with head field official for
that event on first call
- Relays: declaration cards are due when athletes check in for their
relay. List team name and four athletes running.
Officials:
- Meet Director: Thayer Redman

- Meet Referee: Dave Smith

Protest Procedures/Violations:
PROTESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING AND ACCOMPANIED BY A $20 FEE TO
BE RETURNED IF THE PROTEST IS UPHELD to the Meet Director within 30
minutes from the time the results of the event are announced. Each Meet
Director will appoint a Jury of Appeals consisting of selected coaches
from each of the four divisions as well as the meet director. (To be
announced at the meet) who will hear appeals from decisions of the
referee.
All disqualifications and violations will be reported by officials to
the meet referee. The meet referee will document all disqualifications
and violations. The meet referee will notify the head coach of any
disqualifications. Please refer to the rulebook regarding what
violations that can be appealed.
Code of Conduct for Coaches and athletes:
- All coaches and athletes should conduct themselves with good sports
manners at all times. Coaches should act in a civil manner and refrain
from berating officials that make decisions.
- All questions regarding violations must be brought to the attention
of the meet referee.
- Any coaches who conduct themselves in an unprofessional manner or
athletes who exhibit unsportsmanslike conduct will be ejected from the
meet and site.
Facility Rules:
- Spikes: 1/8”
- No food or drinks allowed in the facility
- There will be a concession stand and area for eating set up outside
in the hallway.
- All teams should pick up after they leave the meet.
- Spectators and teams should remain seated in the bleacher area
unless competing or warming up
- Parking: Parking is available behind the field house
- All teams should enter through the back entrance on Cresent St.
- There will be an admission fee for spectators – 5.00 dollars for
adults and 3.00 for children and senior citizens
- There will be an Athletic Trainer available for the entire meet.
Teams should bring their own tape.
In Case of Inclement Weather:
If weather is inclement you may call the hotline at Conard HS at
231-5000 ext. 1750. The meet may be delayed if weather is bad in the AM.
