29th Windham Invite - Saturday - Sep. 15, 2007
The traditional early-season Windham Invitational is in its 29th season and meet director Bob Haddad invites all state coaches and athletes with their first opportunity to compete in a meet that has typically drawn top teams from across the state. A full slate of races, from Freshman to Junior Varsity to Varsity, are offered at the meet for boys and girls that is scheduled for Saturday, September 15th, 2007 at Windham High School. The meet always features great awards to the top teams and individuals in all the races. Two special awards this year, (1) a special shirt to the top five runners in each varsity race and (2) the boys and girls varsity team with the fastest total time of their first 5 runners (out of the three boys and three girls varsity races) will receive a Team Windham Cross Country Invitational Windbreaker.
New This Year! Online Team Roster Entry forms are available this year for this Featured Meet in order to complement the new finish line procedures. 58th Greater Hartford Invite - Saturday, Sep. 29, 2007
Meet Director Lindy Remigino is hosting the state's oldest cross country invitational, the 58th Greater Hartford Cross Country Meet, on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10:00am at the new meet location at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain. The scenic, mostly grass and trail course, is frequently used by the Central Connecticut State University harriers and also served as the meet site for last year's CCC West and South Championships. The meet features boys and girls race events for all levels including Freshman, Junior Varsity and Varsity on very fan-friendly race courses.  Awards include Medals to the first 20 runners in all Races, Silver Revere bowls to the winning and second place teams in Championship and Open Races, and Silver Revere bowls to each individual winner in Championship and Open Races.
A new race has been added to the schedule for Middle School 6th, 7th and 8th grade athletes.
The race will start at 9:30am, use a 1-mile course and depending on the number of entrants, will be run as one race for boys and girls or as separate races for boys and girls. The entry fee is $60 per school (boys and girls as one entry fee). Medals to the first 20 runners. Interested middle school coaches should use the Online Intent to Enter form to register their team and provide contact information.
In order to provide complete Varsity scoring for Open and Charter races, there is an online entry for Team Rosters that starts on Sept. 15, 2007. The Intent to Enter and team roster forms are now available online.
