Entry Limits:
|
- Athletes may compete in 3 events;
no boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including
relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3)
events.
- Only 3 athletes per class event (i.e. enter only 3 freshmen, 3
sophomores, etc.).
Championship Events:
Class events:
- This will allow athletes to compete within their class.
- Each team is limited
to 3 athletes per class per event.
- You will not be allowed a 4th freshman,
sophomore, junior, or senior in a Class Event.
- There are no qualifying
standards.
Relay Events:
- Each school may enter 1 relay team per event; except in the Off-Track Two
Mile Relay,
teams may enter two teams. Please seed honestly!
- Individuals may be entered into the shot put without a relay.
Popular Off-Track Two Mile Relay:
Teams consist of two boys or two
girls. Schools may enter only 2 boys teams and/or 2 girls teams. The
start, exchange zone, and finish will be on the track; the rest of this
event will be off-track. This event provides distance runners the
opportunity to participate in an added event.
NEW
Exhibition Event: Non-scoring Throwers’ 4 x 100 relay:
If enough interest is shown, we will offer an informal, non-scoring
throwers’ 4 x 100 relay after the 4 x 400. If an entrant in this event
throws javelin, he or she must also throw discus or shot in this meet. We
will award t-shirts to the winning teams.

- Online Intent-to-Enter forms due by 12-noon on Thursday April 3,
2008
- Online Athlete Event Entries due by 11:59pm Saturday, April 5, 2008
- Online Scratch Deadline is 12-noon on Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
- No entries on day of meet (Saturday)!

All heats are finals; please seed honestly! We reserve the right to limit
entries in any and all events. |
Meet Rules:
|
- To insure a fair and quality meet, CIAC rules will govern all events.
- A coaches’ information packet will be available to you when you arrive.
- Coaches will be asked to help officiate events. The meet runs well
because of all the help from coaches.
Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
- All heats are finals.
- Times will determine place, regardless of heat.
- In field events for Class Events: athletes will get 3 jumps / 3 throws
- In the field events for Championship Events: athletes will get 3
throws. No finals.
- Uniforms must be worn during competition & must meet relay requirements.
- Absolutely no Frisbees, footballs, soccer balls, etc.
- Sportsmanship at all times to all people.
- No radios or boom boxes – please have your athletes wear headphones.

T-shirts will be on sale. A concession stand will be open. (Coaches and
officials receive a free lunch) |

Implement Check:
|
All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use
in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements
that have not passed meet inspection. |

Winners.
Medals to 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each category. |
