Meet Information

Welcome:

 You are invited to the 5th Annual New Haven Track & Field JV Invitational on Saturday December 15th, 2007. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team.

Facility:

 The meet will be held at the New Haven Track & Field Center in New Haven, CT. The newly built 25 million dollar facility is one of the finest in the Northeast. It is a six – lane 200-meter flat track, with 6 lanes on the turns and 7 on the straightaway with a Martin 2000 surface, the same surface used at the site of the Nike Indoor High School Championships.

Entry Limits:

 Note that athletes who do not qualify for the Friday night Varsity Meet event are automatically entered into the same JV-Level event.

Entry limits include:

  • Athletes can compete in any three (3) events.
    No boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays. Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
  • Each school may enter one Freshman and one JV team per relay event.

Registration:
  • 1. Online Intent to Enter form available.
  • 2. Online Event Entry for Boys and Girls Forms available 11/26/2007.
    Deadline for entry is 11:59pm, Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007
  • No day of meet entries.

Entry Fees - Checks:
  • The entry fee is $5.00 for each athlete and $10.00 for each relay.
  • NOTE that Entry fees are charged for ENTERING the meet. You owe for each entry made on-line. There are NO REFUNDS for scratches or “no shows.”

Meet Rules:

 Coaches, please pay special attention to the following:
  1. The National Federation will sanction the meet.
  2. The meet is open to all high school age athletes competing with their high school team.

Awards:
  • The top three finishers in each event will receive custom medals.

Doctor and Trainer:
  • Temple Medical Athletic Trainer on site during meet.

Implement Check:
  • All implements must be checked in by an inspector prior to use in the meet. Violators will be disqualified for using implements that have not passed meet inspection.
