Entry Process and Deadlines:

Entry process is two steps:

Submit an online Intent to Enter form by
12-noon on Friday, January 18, 2008
-
Submit Online Athlete Event Entries by
11:59pm on
Saturday, January 26, 2008
Other Deadlines:
- Coaches can confirm their Athlete Event Entries by viewing the
online School-Athlete Event Report that will be available after Monday,
Jan.28, 2008.
- Coaches who have made an error in forgetting to enter an athlete in
an event must contact Meet Director Thayer Redman by telephone prior to
12-noon, Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008. Coaches must include their own name,
telephone number, Name of School, Athlete's First-Last Name, Event and
Qualifying Mark as part of the phone message.
- Coaches can provide scratch information
using the online Meet Scratch Form. Coaches should
submit all scratches by 12-noon, Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008.
- Scratches may be done without penalty before the start of the meet
at 11:00am on Feb. 2, 2008.

The entry fee is $150.00 per school or $75.00 per
team.

Meet Rules:
|
The CCC
championship meet is governed by the High School Federation Rules where
applicable and/or as amended by the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic
Conference and the Central Connecticut Conference.
- Any athlete meeting CCC Championship standards may be entered in the
CCC
Meet.
- Maximum of three (3) athletes per school per event.
No
boy/girl may be entered in more than three (3) events, including relays.
Entry as an alternate counts as one of the athlete's three (3) events.
- Coaches have agreed that this is a championship meet and will not
enter athletes that are not up to the level of competition.
Any
additional athletes must be approved by the Meet Director Thayer Redman
prior to the Athlete Entry Deadline of Saturday, January 26, 2008.

An athlete who withdraws from an individual event once
the meet has started automatically withdraws from all subsequent events
in that meet, including relays.
- All schools will be allowed one (1) athlete per event
if the CCC standard is not met.
If any school has more than one (1) athlete
then ALL the athletes must meet the minimum requirement (CCC
standards).

Coaches are reminded to familiarize themselves with
National Federation Rules regarding uniforms and jewelry. These rules
will be enforced.
- When
determining your seedtime you should use times achieved on a 200 meter
track.
- The athletic directors have advised that clubs shall not compete in
the championship meet.
- If the seeding committee notices any violations in the entry rules,
the entry will be pulled and the coach notified.

Scoring:

Scoring
for the overall CCC championship will be the top (7) places as follows 10-8-6-4-3-2-1.
Scoring for the divisions will be 5-3-1.

All Conference:
|
All-conference athletes: The top (3) three in each individual event and
the top (2) two relay teams from the championship meet will be nominated
automatically; any other nominations made at our end of the year meeting
must be voted on by the coaches present. A coach may choose to remove his
/her athlete from the list of automatic nomination. |

The CCC Coaches Meeting for All
CCC voting and season-end business will be held at Manchester HS on
Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. |

There will be an admission fee for spectators at Hillhouse Fieldhouse. Adults: $5.00 and Children/Seniors: $3.00
